I enjoyed reading about your experiences in Vietnam. I was a DD in peace-time Korea in 1959. It was a wonderful, exciting experience. I do not think I would have had the courage to serve in war-time Vietnam. I admire all of you courageous girls who went to Vietnam.

God bless you Diane. The unsung heroes of so many in the war. I was in the Air Force and stationed in Thailand in early 1966 when war was just gearing up. Donut Dollies were not to my knowledge in existence at that time.. I later heard from many vets about the wonderful things that the “Dollies” did over the years. Most of them said it was so great just to talk to someone female from back in the states aka World, and the compassion they had for the guys. Never heard anyone utter a bad word about the “Dollies” other than that they wished there was more of them. Most people don’t realize what these ladies went thru to support our military. The courage to volunteer and go there to do the wonderful things that you all did is amazing !!! As a 76 year old Vet my eyes have seen many things that I wish my brain could Forget. I am sure that all most all of you wonderful Ladies have been thru things and feel the same way. Sitting here with tears streaming down my face after reading this story. May God Bless You All and Keep you Safe !!! Thank you for your service to our troops !!!
